Anasazi... What is that you might be asking?

As you may see i have added an link to the right side that talks about Anasazi Wilderness Therapy. This is where we sent our son in the spring of 2007. Even though things have not turned out exactly as we had all wished for, we would do it again. Michael has very found memories and skills learned that he reflects on. And as parents it really helped bridge the gap and anger that we were having with him. And even Katie was shocked at our parenting skills after we returned from the parent weekend. I know times are tight, but if your child is struggling with addiction or behavior problems please check it out. The photo was taken of Michael just a few weeks into the program. This is one of my favorite photos of Michael. Cute Kid!!!

Things are heating Up!!!

We got a new stove on Saturday. The old one was crazy, if you moved the skillet just a bit the burner would disconnect. And the oven would run anywhere from 25 to 75 degrees higher than what it was set on. Well i know it is not the most exciting thing to others but for the one who does a large portion of the cooking it is fantastic!! And i really am a flat top stove snob!

6th Folder, 6th Photo

So this is it! Wow that seems like a lifetime ago. This photo is from Dec 2006. We were in the process of remolding the Insurance Office before we opened that adventure!!! That is my dad in the background. And of course (L) Michael standing there i think eating something. And Michael going thru the studs!!

Now it is your turn.

You have to:

1. Go to my documents/pictures.

2. Go to my 6th file folder.

3. Go to my 6th picture.

4. Blog about it.

Michael's 18th Birthday

Well this past weekend we went to Georgetown for (L) Michael's 18th birthday. Yep, he is a Valentine Baby. So he of course loves catfish, and everyone knows the best place to get catfish is Catfish Parlour. And for the special day they had special hush puppies shaped like hearts.
And of course they sang Happy Birthday and he got a special hat! Oddly, I am pretty sure when we moved in December we packed up another one of the hats from a few years ago.
Of course his sister Katie and Jesse were there. We all enjoyed sitting around telling funny stories and when the kids were younger and funny tv shows.

After the lunch that lasted for a few hours. We just were really enjoying the visit with both of the kids. We took Michael to the Outlet Mall to get him a few clothing items. Later we went out to Manor. Then we crashed the Round Rock Stake Adult Valentine Dance. It was great to get to visit with everyone. Ya'll just can't keep us away!!

New Things.

So i have a list of things that i have been working on this week and for the past couple of weeks. So enjoy!

Okay so i am super excited for a craig list find this weekend!! We have been looking for a breakfast table to go in the kitchen. We both had requirements. Mine was: i wanted wood and iron and Michaels was cheap!!! So we found this jewel for only $150 retails at Ashleys for around $650. And it has two more chairs we put up in the upstairs foyer.

Next new thing this week. And i expect no comments from the peanut gally. We have noticed a few extra pounds since we moved here. I think it is from me cooking 5 nights a week!! Anyway i did a ton of research on the web. Then went to Famous Footwear and tried on a least 20 pairs of real tennie shoes!!! And finally found a winner. So i have used them, kinda, okay it may not count as walking. But i did go to HEB and walked around the store while wearing them.

And i got the guest room all set up and ready for guest. I am still looking for a headboard that i like and that fits the guest room budget of FREE. Of course we have already had more vistor's in this house than we have in the last three years in Georgetown! And we are loving it! So here is our plug, if you are in town (San Antonio area) and need a place to stay come on over. You even have your own bathroom!

And lastly i thought i would just show you a photo of the downstairs. See it is kinda like a bed and breakfast. Except that you have to be super special to get me to make breakfast. Ask any family member!!!! But we are not far from IHOP, Mc D's, and Whataburger and they can make whatever you want and fast.

Dinner with Katie & Jesse

So, since i am up in Round Rock Katie and Jesse came over for dinner. Cathy's family recently got a new dog, and of course Katie loves dogs!!! So Bella (the dog) loves to play catch and tug of war. Katie had a great time playing with Bella. Wonder how Molly and Rowdy will feel about her smelling like another dog. It was so funny, because of the wood floors, Bella just slides around. So far my stay had been pretty queit till today, when i thought i had lost Bella. She got out of the yard and i looked all over for her. Talk about feel bad for losing your friends dog. Then when Joseph got home from school he rode around on his bike looking. Turns out she was 3 houses down. Luckly the neighbor saw her right after she got out of the yard and was not sure who she belonged to so he put her in his back yard. Thank goodness for blessing!

Our Fun Weekend

We had a few vistors from Round Rock on Saturday. Their older boys had a Youth Temple trip, so they brought Sam over to stay with us for a few hours. So we decieded to go play putt putt. After all it was a warm (70's) sunny afternoon. So we went to what is becoming our favorite place, Express Mini Golf. It is really nice and fun!!! ( i will post photos as soon as i figure out how to get them off my phone) And I got a hole in one, for real, no do overs!!! I was super excited. Of course i still did not win over all. Then we all went to an early dinner at Red Robins. Great burgers! When they left Mike and i got out the GPS and started looking up the Barnes and Noble and Half Price Books locations. We were very excited to find an area of San Antonio that feels like down town Austin. There were big oak trees and cute little shops and of course a Universty.

Sunday started out with us late to church. Like took the scarement out in the hall late. Sadly we live only 3 streets away!!! And it does not start till 10:30. So then sunday evening I had to drive to Round Rock. (i am house sitting for some friends) So just as i am about to exit the hwy i get pulled over for speeding! So i quess i will be taking defensive driving. Needless to say sunday was not quite as relaxing as one would hope to have.
