Whirl Wind Saturday

What at busy Saturday. We drove up to Katie and Jesse's House late Friday night so we could have a Garage Sale with them on Saturday morning. We both sold a little bit, and just about got blown away by the wind. And it was freezing till about 11 am. Katie was going to sale her scarf, but then she said forget i need it NOW!!!

So when we got to the house Friday night the dogs were super excited. Somehow Rowdy got tangled up in my purse strap and dragged it across the living room empty the contents along the way!

After we packed things back up around noon when we left there we ran out to Marble Falls to see my grandmother. We thought it was about time i got her Christmas gifts out to her! And then we stopped by my brothers house in Round Mountain and had a quick visit and tour of their future Kitchen addition. Apparently we missed my nephew by one day. He is in the Air Force and was home on leave. We rolled back into UC at around 9:30 that night and was tired. We had planned on taking some photos of bluebonnets, but we never really saw any.
Here is Jesse playing with the dogs. Rowdy is very easily distracted! He was more than likely thinking, "wonder where she stowed that camera bag, i sure would like to empty it".

Saturday is a day for ...Blisters????

Well today we have been busy bees. We started out the morning early. Michael went to an Eagle project to help paint bathrooms at a park. I went to the front yard and raked the leaves. By the way we only have a Cedar Tree in the front yard, so they are not even our leaves! I gathered an entire trash can full. And got a blister on my thumb. And sadly you can not even tell that i raked. Later we went to Lowe's and they where having a clearance sale on a bunch of flowers that would be fine if you just planted them and watered them. So note the front flower bed is planted.

Also Michael started building this table last Saturday and finished it today.

And at Sam's they had a set of 3 umbrellas for a really good deal. And we are hopeful for rain!!! And the need to keep several people dry.

So we are pretty tired and ready for Sunday!!

Riverwalk or Amusement Park for Michael ?!?!?

Last weekend Katie and Jesse came down for the day. We went down to the River walk for lunch. It is only about 20 ish minutes away and there are so many very affordable places to eat. And it is just fun to see the river boats go by and the lovely flowers. And you get to walk off whatever you eat!!

And the parking garage ramp that Michael likes to use is always feels like you are on one of those tea cups rides at the fair. Not even kidding. If you want to have a cheap ride it is the garage above the USO. (Actually Katie blogged the weekend very well. I recommend you check her blog of the weekend.) But here are a few photos.

Wow they are such a cute couple. Saturday afternoon our friends came over for a game night, so Katie and Jesse stuck around. We played both the new games with them. And i am pretty sure they had fun!! Of course you know how there is always the learning curve that normal people have when learning a new game. (They usually don't play the new game as well as they are in last place.) Well Katie won Settlers of Zattan. Our friend was sure it was beginners luck!

Gearing Up to Get Fit and Store Food.

So we have been selling our extra stuff on Craigslist. Of course we are really just supporting our habit of buying other stuff. So last week we made two purchases that were very good deals. Michael and i have been talking about getting into better shape. So he found a great deal for exercise system. ( i don't know what else to call it) He and a friend picked it up on Saturday morning. Then he spent all day putting it together. To me it looks like most of the machines at Curves all wrapped up on one machine. And i am sure you are thinking we have been out there several times this week. Well you would be wrong!!!! So i told him i need a TV or radio out there to work out. And he has just been super busy at work. But we have high hopes of getting out there on Saturday to workout. Oh course Katie and Jesse are coming to town, so that may not happen.

The Next item for the week is a food storage shelf for Cans. We can store up to 600 cans now. Currently we have 42!!! You can check out the shelf on http://www.shelfreliance.com/ of course we did not pay that much for it. And it is pretty cool since we can adjust the rollers for different size cans. And there are cute magnet labels to keep things organized.

And lastly we purchased a new game. (no not on craigslist) We played this game several years ago over at the Perry's and had so much fun. Michael was refreshing the rules to get ready to play on Sunday. And our friends the Parks brought over Settler of Kattan??, (i cant remember the name exactly). Which we really enjoyed playing both games. Of course i told Katie, she referred to them as boring games for Nerds. This coming from someone who is crazy for a domino game, called chicken foot!! Must mean that we are super in our choice of fun games.
